Managing vs. Leading

"Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success; leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall." Stephen Covey

Academic and business observation has consistently revealed that “management” tends to be tactical and focused on daily functions, whereas “leadership” is keenly able to grow a committed workforce, create high performing teams, and positively impact the entire culture toward the accomplishment of mutual goals.
